Beckah Shae

Beckah Shae is a great singer and artist. Here is here blog this week that really spoke to me. I hope it speaks to you as well!!!

#putyourloveglasseson

Saul who became Paul was a determined persecutor of the early followers of Jesus. Job lay in the street, covered with boils. Zacchaeus was “vertically challenged.” Noah was a drunken farmer. Moses stuttered. Daniel was a captive slave. Simon was called The Leper. Abraham came from a family of idol worshipers, and was undoubtedly an idol worshiper himself. The chosen disciples were just simple fishermen & tax collectors. Joseph was a teenager who became a slave and a prisoner. Rahab was a prostitute. Gideon was nothing more than a farmer. David was just a young shepherd boy. Esther was a common jewish slave. The mother of Jesus was a young peasant girl. The son of God was born in a stable… The people and the stories go on and on and on.

So… What do you see? Who do you see?

NOW, I wonder how many people could see what incredible plans God had for these “unlikely” folks? To have been able to see where they had come from, where they would go and who they would become. These are worthy stories to spend a little time getting to know!

To putyourloveglasseson is to put on the Mind of Christ, to see as He sees. That includes things, circumstances, and most of all ourselves and others. We have to go higher in our understanding of His Love in order to carry out the fullness of His will for our lives. We must be determined to know Jesus and the depth of His love and His plans for us. We must be desperate to see ourselves the way He sees us!

This is interesting: The word Bartimeaus means “son of value.” Yet in Mark 10:48 we read that he was a blind beggar, with no value, begging for his bread. He was surrounded by a sea of hopelessness. I wonder how everyone “saw” him? But He cried out: “Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me!” What did Jesus do? He gave him back value by giving him eyes to see because after that he no longer needed to beg. “I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire… salve to put on your eyes, so that you can see.” (Rev 3:18). Our hearts should long to SEE! When we choose to put our love glasses on, we step into a life of revelation! Our faith becomes manifest! Bartimeaus just stepped into what God had already spoken and had always spoken about his life: “Bartimeaus, you are a son of value”. He walked right into L.I.F.E. ( Love In Full Effect ).

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. – Matthew 6:33

Love…”bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” -1 Corinthians 13:7

Do you know who God calls you? Do you know what has God spoken over your life? If you discover the truth of who you are, and begin to see yourself through God’s eyes, you will also begin to see others how He sees. May God give us the grace to see things through His eyes so that we may have to courage to do His will. We have to see through God’s eyes and feel through God’s heart, to appreciate the value of every soul, including yourself. (Please see my Blog “Purity Testimony” for a list of scriptures that will help you with your vision!)

It is evident throughout History that God through His unfathomable love and unlimited grace chooses people with less than perfect standards to perform heroic deeds. God called people who by human standards were not wise, strong, or influential. Intelligence, charm, strength, wealth, wit, fame, power, are the things that make us put our faith in men. He chose the unworthy, under qualified, the broken and the weakest. God chose the humblest amongst his people and ignored the claims of the proud. I believe God sometimes deliberately chooses physical losers to accomplish His work so that when the job is done, there is no way they may touch His glory, that His amazing grace would be better understood. He doesn’t look for people who fit in or stand out, but for those who have faith and will stand up. He’s not interested in our ability but desires our availability! He’s looking for the willing and He is searching for the one quality we most often fail to see. The heart. “For God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16: 7

He teaches us that, facial features, height, weight, skin color, who they are, who they know, what they have, or don’t have, where they are from, what they can do… is not what matters, but what really matters is their heart’s desire to know and serve Him, to obtain a heart like His. A heart that is surrendered and aware of its need for His grace. He teaches us to put our love glasses on; to see as God sees and allow it to compel us to love as He loves. A love so great it causes us to speak blessings even upon our enemies.

I believe in God’s perfect timing many will be surprised when God dethrones some and raises up some and brings to the front lines the “unlikeliest” individuals who have a heart for God. They will advance the Kingdom and usher in a mighty move of God through the anointing of the Holy Spirit. The Lord’s heroes are arising from the dust of obscure and despised circumstances. Is it you? It’s me! We ALL have a story! May we be the ones to cry out like Bartimeaus or David and catch the wave of His Glory that we may not miss the opportunity to SEE and BE the one He’s looking for! My hand is raised & I’ve got my love glasses on!

For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. – 2 Chronicles 16:9

Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings. – Psalm 17:8

But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame* the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things and the things that are not to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. -
I Corinthians 1:27-29

But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love. – Psalm 33:18

The prophet Zechariah reminds us not to “despise the day of small things,” for they will be observed by “the eyes of the Lord, which run to and fro through the whole earth”- Zechariah 4:10

We do well to remember always that one of the great names of God is “Thou God sees me” – Genesis 16:13

Our problems, our selfishness, our earthly vanities, our anxieties, our prejudices, our lack of trust…are all like a closed curtain on a window. Without vision we limit God in our lives, but what an awesome privilege the Lord has lavished on us to see people as He does! He is notorious for opening the eyes of the blind!

David cries…” Look on me and answer, O LORD my God.
Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death.” – Psalm
13:3

You will open the eyes of the blind. You will free the captives from prison, releasing those who sit in dark dungeons. -Isaiah 42:7

the LORD opens the eyes of the blind. The LORD lifts up those who are bowed down; the LORD loves the righteous. -Psalm 146:8

And Jesus answered them, “Go and tell John what you hear and see: the blind receive their sight and the lame walk, lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, and the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them. And blessed is the one who is not offended by me.” – Matthew 11:4-6

Truth is there will be situations and circumstances that will come that can only be overcome by having our love glasses on! We need God vision to see the Hope in these times. The people who seem most unlovable, can only be loved through you, by you wearing His love! We need to put our love glasses on! There are so many needs God is waiting for you to see, if you would just put your love glasses on! He needs our hearts to trust and our eyes to see, all we need is to put our love glasses on! We serve Him best by “loving” one another.

Australia Day.

Australia day is like our 4th of July. There is so much Aussie pride. Everyone wears australia t-shirts, hats, thongs (sandals), and much more. I put on some temporary tattoos to show my support! The weather was so nice, the water was clear, and it was so enjoyable. We drove down the coast a couple of hours after training. We camped for two days on the beach, had a barbie, and had great conversation with good friends. Australia day is about being Australian but more about enjoying other peoples company. Being a true australian is being laid back, grilling some meat on the barbie and bludging around shortly followed by a cricket match. I feel slightly slighted and at a disadvantage when it comes to cricket not growing up with swinging a bat in such an awkward manner but nonetheless i enjoy every minute!

Enjoy the pictures!

Melbourne.

Playing against Melbourne was well just wet. It was great to see Kendall. And as you can see in the photo above that was the midfield three from Central Coast last year. We were beasts together. A little sad we all weren't playing together again but nonetheless it turned out to be an interesting game.
It started raining in Melbourne the day before the game when we had arrived. I was thinking with all the rain there was going to be no way that the pitch wouldnt be under water. Guess again? I think the grass is just different or something but you didnt even need to wear screw-ins! The ball would skip a bit but you wouldn't lose your footing ...well at the start.

The first half was ok. We didnt play that great, we gave up a pk, missed a pk, but scored two goals. The second half was worse. With the torrential down pour it made it hard to kick the ball a mere five yards without it getting stuck in puddles. Then to make matters worse the ref suddenly ran off the field, was violently ill, and subbed herself. The fourth official who came on I guess was not paying attention to the entire game had no idea how much time was left and so we played a total of 65 minutes thats without adding the time the ref disappeared, the time their keeper was down ...I'm guessing the entire second half lasted about 75-80 minutes and it was pouring rain!!!! I was so miserable and never wanted a game to end quicker! We scored two more goals making it 4-1 which was a positive.

This is our keeper Demi, who played great despite the nasty weather conditions.
Heres a link to more facebook pictures from the game:

Wollongong.

Since I have arrived in Australia the weather has been crazy. It was rainy when I landed, then blazing hot, then hailing and raining again to freezing cold. I guess this is what spring is like here! Good news, Australia is no longer in a drought so we can flush the toilet and drink water!

Well, yesterday was our first scrimmage. I keep saying scrimmage and everyone here looks like I'm saying something wrong. I guess they don't use the word scrimmage ...sounds too much like the rugby word, scrum! Anyway, it was fun to have a game with the girls and to get some of the travel out of my legs. The drive was beautiful coming into Wollongong, as you can see from the picture. We are still missing our national team players who are playing against Germany in a friendly. However, it was nice to see some of the girls that I had played with last year with Central Coast Mariners. Its funny how fast a year flies! We ended up winning 5-1. I scored on a free kick that sneaked in after everyone initially jumped to head it, screening the goalkeeper, I'm guessing. I'm so sore still and I guess 25 hrs on a plane will do that do your legs!

This week we are preparing for our first game against Brisbane. Its the same teams that were in the finals last year so it will be a pretty exciting opening match. We are training at the New South Wales Institute of Sport which has amazing facilities and I'm excited to be able to use all that it has to offer. It has a great weight room, cold tubs, hot tub, sauna, and kitchen/lounge with food!

Well I'm off for make-your-own pizza night! We did this last year and it was so much fun!

I miss you all!
love life choose JOY!

Writing.

I have never like writing before. In high school, like everyone else, I was required to take English. Mrs. Thomas was my English teacher. She was very wise, modest yet witty and had a passion to teach. She could be a character in a movie. Rarely showing emotion and always demanding the best from you. Every once in a while you would get a tiny smile but it would quickly fade back into the seriousness of the literature. I wanted to do well in English so I could have a good GPA, so I could impress Mrs. Thomas but other than that I loathed it.

Upon arriving at college I quickly chose a major that had nothing to do with English, writing, essays, literature, or all of that. I chose computer science. See, I love science and math. Ah problem solving. Its great. Little puzzles all day. Learning how to solve a suggested problem while being efficient, resourceful and timely was my job. I loved coding. I also, as an emphasis, studied spanish. I loved, and still do, the culture and have taken spanish my whole life so i wanted to continue studying it. Knowing me I would forget it easily so I had to continue! Anyway, reflecting about my college time I came to the conclusion that I love languages. I learned the ins and outs, library after library of different computer languages, how they're built, syntax, semantics, variables, and functions. What it all comes down to is that I have a passion for language. Naturally the idea of english classes, literature, essays, term papers, and gatherings of ideas all makes me go crazy. However, coming to the conclusion that I'm quite good at languages makes me want to write. Although I hate it. Yes I know. Weird.

Maybe like how your taste buds can change my love for "writing" will change. But as my teammates would say, "dont get crazy" so I wont promise anything. I love blogging when I get inspired. Sometimes I journal. Sometimes I paint. Sometimes I have to draw. Sometimes I get ideas to create businesses. Its this creative bug. I'm not particularly good at painting, or drawing, or writing or any of these but I enjoy it and I feel compelled to do it. For example, I will get a yearning to paint and it wont go away until I satisfy it. Anyway, I dont really know how i got off on this tangent but just some background info on my personality :)

so where were we .... yes, writing. So my friend recently presented me with the idea of a writing prompt. She would chose the topic and we would write about it and then share and read each others reflections. I joyfully agreed then the thought quickly passed into my mind how i dont really like to write. I tried to push those thoughts out of my head and thought that this was a "cool" idea. So a couple days went by and I, to be honest, forgot about the assignment. My friend asked me how it was coming and i smiled and she knew. "You haven't done it yet, huh," she said. She knows me oh too well. So just to prove her wrong I felt the urge to do this. But once again it quickly left my mind. See I have to be passionate about something to write, feel compelled, on fire, with no one to listen so I'm forced to write it down or type it out. Which now leads me here.

Today I decided to blog about this so-called writing prompt. I sit down at my computer. Get a cold summertime Chicago ale out and think this is it. Then I start to think, which quickly gets sidetracked by updating my blog profile, adding new gadgets, etc. Oh the geek in me. Okay! So I start thinking, reflection, pondering, and wondering. This got me to where I am now. Thinking about english and writing!!!!! But its that the point of writing prompts. They give you a direction and you go with it. I just started typing and this is what came out. Maybe next time I'll actually do the writing prompt.

singing in a garden.

The Fall. It's where it all started. Us. Separation. Feeling naked. I look at the world and see the hurt, the suffering, the destruction. I see my own life and I realize that it's not getting worse but ironically how it's been ever since that day in the garden.

It makes so much sense to me now. I see clarity where I once saw a mere story. Why do we were clothes? Our skin is more water proof than GORTEX! Yet, we have closets full. Without them we feel cold, shy, embarrassed, exposed and insecure. Fear arises.

In the bible it says that after the fall Adam and Eve realized they were naked and hid, covering themselves with leaves. This intrinsically explains our nature. Or do you have other idea why we need clothes?

Can you imagine? A huge, endless garden. The word garden is minuscule and doesn't do it justice. It was probably more like an amazon. I close my eyes, imagining, thinking about this guy, Adam, who was so miserably lonely, having to name all of the animals one by one (thats a lot of animals and a lot of time to be lonely), realizing that none were suitable mates. After all this, and by then I'm sure Adam had given up hope to find his best friend, he was given Eve. I think of their first date and laugh sardonically. Naked first of all, in this amazing place they call home. Finding love and comfort in each others eyes. How beautiful that they were made for each other. All amazed at God, at how much he loves them. Starring into each others eyes thinking ..."thank you, God. I'm in awe of what you've done and how loved I am by you. Thank you. Thank you."

Worship. In a garden. Love. Significantly powerful.

Knowing there's no sweeter love than the love you pour on me. Knowing there's no song sweeter than the song you sing to me. God sang in that garden. The thing was that Satan also knew how to sing. He is an angel, fallen, but still an angel. I imagine angels being created to sing, welcoming and rejoicing all those who call on the Lord. So when Adam and Eve were deceived and instantly realized they were naked, feeling all those feelings we feel, it changed them. Now their worth didn't just come from God. They wanted more. They wanted better. Were they bored? Did they have trust issues?

What did Adam think about Eve now? Was Eve balling her eyes out, her heart hurting, feeling broken, trying to mask her pain? Did she ask Adam to have some moonshine to forget what happened? Did Adam see her hurting, hurting himself because she is a part of him? He loves her but did he struggle to find words and just hold her? Did she think Adam wouldn't want to be with her and why can't she stop crying? Where was God? Why isn't he telling them he forgives them? Where's the music now?

Was it the next day? Eyes swollen and puffy from crying, feeling like a truck hit you from one too many home-made brewskies, that the sun was still shining like normal, birds still chirping. That in the stillness of the dawn, even though they felt separated from God, they thought, "your loves makes it worth it," remembering and clinging to the moments when they felt drenched in His love. Realizing that they have changed but God hasnt. Hope.

I picture Adam and Eve saying this sucks, this hurts but let's suffer well. Let's praise and worship God like we did when things were great. I imagine this worship. Feeling loved yet feeling broken. Love and pain. Did Adam realize he didn't glorify God like he deserved and now he praises Him for this because even though it hurts and sucks he is able to see more clearly. How can you know what is beautiful until you know what isnt beautiful, realizing now how beautiful their maker is, in awe of his splendor. Loving him because he is worthy ...this in turn, stirs up feelings and emotions of how things were. Feeling dumb that you traded God for something else and ended up empty, realizing that He is the only thing that truly satisfies us. That our worth comes from Him. That we don't have to be the best, the most popular, have the nicest car ...want whiter teeth, to be taller, skinner, pick the sweetest fruit ...that He loves us the way we are ...broken.

Would I love God the way I do if I wasn't aware of my brokenness, aware that I have to live from something more than myself? Because we're broken, we need a Savior. ONe that meets us right where we are and says "I know" and "I've been there" and "I love you."

Adam turns to Eve and says, "Wait, did you hear that?"
And Eve says, "What Adam? I know you have a problem hearing but what is it?"
"Shhhh, listen," says Adam with a smile creeping from the corners of his mouth.

And then she hears it. It's subtle. Something that was always there but she didn't realize it until now ...singing. As it echos through the moutains, rumbling the leaves, its synchronizing tunes with the earth seemingly taking part in the jubulation. It's Him and he's still singing the song of redemption.

we were created for joy.

Well I just recently moved to Saint Louis ..the Lou, home of the arch ..not arc, Sonia! ...and I have to say its growing on me. I have never wanted to live in a big city, still don't, however for the time I like it. I'll let you know when I see Nelly :) Anyway ...I've learned a lot here already and have only been here since March! Everyday is a battle. A battle for your joy. And its a choice. I can choose to have joy or choose to let the world swallow it up and I can wallow around just thinking of myself. Our life is supposed to be about JOY ...that's our light ...that's Jesus and in your brokenness its your light that God uses to help someone else that's broken! And we do this not to be a better person or to make God like us more ...or fear but because we have experienced this Joy and have been changed by it ...and we merely want others to experience it to.

All of who we are is to experience Jesus. All.

Its more that just talking about it ...seeing it ...but tasting it everyday! "Taste and see that the Lord is good." Its a battle between good and evil, yes but so much more! Everything that this world has to offer is biding for your joy. Your money, your time, your friends, your circumstances, the weather (hah yes ...this one is huge for me ...stl is cold ..boo), your gifts and talents ...and i could go on and on! But the point isnt to just go through life and let things not affect you. I have felt like this coming out of playing for the Eagles ....oh you cant react to not playing, for example ...or to the refs ...and i felt like i became someone who just tried to shove every emotion away and whenever anything bad happened i would not react and i felt like this was apathetic. Its a fight ...a battle ...and yes react!!! in a way that reflects Christ, yes ..but react ...and EXPERIENCE Christ ...experience Him ...because the times you most experience this joy ..this HOPE ...this living, breathing God that loves us is when amidst the suffering, the pain, the contradiction, the drama ...is when you have nothing to cling onto but God ..but love ...and that is Joy! Jesus died for the JOY that was set before him. The bible says that is was for the Joy that he endured the cross! That was his strength!

Joy is everything ...its how we make God smile. John Piper says this, "God created me—and you—to live with a single, all-embracing, all-transforming passion—namely, a passion to glorify God by enjoying and displaying his supreme excellence in all the spheres of life. Enjoying and displaying are both crucial. If we try to display the excellence of God without joy in it, we will display a shell of hypocrisy and create scorn or legalism. But if we claim to enjoy his excellence and do not display it for others to see and admire, we deceive ourselves, because the mark of God-enthralled joy is to overflow and expand by extending itself into the hearts of others. The wasted life is the life without a passion for the supremacy of God in all things for the joy of all peoples."

Also think about this ...the really wonderful moments of joy in this world are not the
moments of self-satisfaction, but self-forgetfulness. True, yeah? God created us to live with a single passion to joyfully display his supreme excellence in all the spheres of life.

I find it rather "intriguin", as my roommate would say, that the word enjoy has the word JOY in it! Our purpose is to glorify God and enJOY Him forever.

Everyday I wake up and have to tell myself to choose joy because most days I don't want to. Its easy to love people that love you. Its easy to find joy and smile when its nice out and the dogs are finally sleeping! But everyday I have to FIGHT to choose joy ...and I dont pretend to have all the answers ...not even close ...or in the right direction ...but I know that "the JOY of the Lord is my strength" (Neh 8:10) and that "He will always do immeasureably more that you can ever ask or imagine" (Eph 3:20)

love life, choose joy!

the geo.

Recently this past weekend, friends and I were conversing about car names. Every car has to have a name ...given its personality. My cars in the past have been named around the PITA concept ...Pain In The Ass :) However, the geo is a step up. With her two-toned color she really takes to her model name, Prizm. I dont have a real personal name for her ...the Geo works ...sums it all up in the make.

But recently she has been getting a lot of miles and things just start to sage, droop, and wrinkle with age, ya know? Well my current problema is that my window doesnt roll down (this would be the only great time for self roll up windows, i dont even know what they're called). I have power windows but no power is going to my window. Out of all the windows that could possibly not work, its mine. I mean no one ever really rides in the geo ...maybe willow so cmon geo ...

I was like okay no big deal right? WRONG! You dont realize how many things you need to roll your window down for and if you cant you look retarded. For example, everyday i go into work, into the employees parking lot (yes, i'm an employee somehow with no salary ..ha) and i have to use my access card to get through the gate and everyday i have to pull up close but in front of the access point and open my door and lean back, extend my arm, slam the card in without dropping the card because my elbow is breaking and then rush to pull the card out and shut the door all before the gate goes down. I think I break a sweat.

Example number two. Dont go to ATMs. I mean its been so long since i've been into a bank i dont even know what to do ...nonetheless my bank account number?!?!?!

Example number three. Drive-thrus are a NO. This sucks. Who really wants to get out and stand in line at starbucks or anywhere for that matter. I really appreciate the few places you can go through on the passenger side. hahah i've only seen that once at some random burger joint and laughed because i thought it was useless. Not now.

Example four. I freaking live in Florida. Its always hot and nice here. So I have my sun roof open (yes, the geo is that big time for a sun roof ...holler!) but my window up. Thats a fun breeze. No air coming in to feel the breeze on your face and sing at the top of your lungs.

I've realized how much of a convenience I'm use to and when i dont have something thats accustom I'm perturbed. I'm working on it ...and finding joy along the way :)

the geo is good because GOD is good. Live life, choose joy.

coffee.

So about two years ago I would never touch coffee. I just simply didnt like it ...i dont think i had really given it a shot but I didnt want to risk the idea of being "addicted" to something ...I know ...sounds funny right ...but that all changed when i went to brazil.

Two years ago I made my first trip to brazil. Coffee or as it is called in Brazil, Cafe, is life ...its culture ...for brazilians its part of who they are. Everyone and I mean everyone, uses the same type of glasses to drink of out ...with the same type of utter to strain the coffee and put it in the same thermos to stay warm. Oh and I have to add that they all add tons of sugar. Every morning which might seem mundane to us is so essential to them. A french bread roll, buttered, and a small glass of sugary coffee. I grew to love coffee. I loved the process. It was work to make this coffee. As Americans we are so spoiled with our easy 1-2-3 coffee makers that do everything for us. I had no idea how to make coffee without a maker. However, its quite simple. As soon as we would wake up we would boil a big pot of water. Almost like when youre making pasta. As soon as the water boils you turn off the heat and add the coffee. Then after stirring it around you pour it through a strainer ...we would call it an utter (because of the shape) and put it into the thermos bottles to stay hot. Im telling you this, I dont know why ...but I guess this is where I fell in love with coffee ....oh yeah .....so now I'm addicted!

After returning from brazil coffee was hard to like here. Starbucks sucks ...too bitter. It just wasnt the same. I enjoyed making coffee at home and settled for that. Then one day I was at a friends house and she offered me a cup of coffee. You can never deny a cup! But what I didnt realize was that she made it from this really high-tech device that vibrated. She would place a coffee pod (coffee inside a closed filter) into this machine, hold down, and out came a cup of hot coffee with FROTH on top. Funny word. Froth. Anyhow, I was so amazed at this snobby coffee machine that I looked it up. It was a Senseo and they are pretty expensive. But I was so intrigued by the froth on the top. All of the sudden, I wanted froth in my coffee every morning! I used craigslist just to look but they were still too expensive. However, I found an expresso/cappuchino coffee maker for a mere $15. And now I'm really in love!

So this new buy of mine has the ability to steam milk! and i can have froth! I never thought I would be such a coffee snob but I have loved finding my own unique taste of how I like my coffee. Every morning now I love thinking about making a hot, dark, rich, creamy, FROTHY, cup of coffee with stevia! I love it ...coffee brings us together. Drinking coffee with friends is one of the best things in life. And with the caffeine as my friend Holly would say, "Im ready to save the world!"

A great cup of coffee would usually send us into creative mode or brainstorm mode. Tons of ideas would come about ...plans of action ...things to do ...people to see and save ...peace to be known throughout the world ...and much much more! Its great what a cup of coffee can do and I have loved to see my coffee taste evolve from unknown and nonexistent to a small dark, sweet cup in brazil to my new frothy invention!

I think coffee really does warm our soul and one should definitely take the risk and enjoy!

Space Age Peanut Butter

So I found this great ice cream place in Tallahassee called d-lites and its amazing ...and amazingly good for you. Anyway, so they sell this peanut butter here and its powdered. When I saw it I thought space age. You know how they sell food dry so if you go hiking or to space you can live ...like dry ice cream. When I was a kid I thought it was so cool and i guess somethings dont change ...so yes I bought some. It has 50 cal, about 3 fats grams, and i think 6 grams of protein for 2 tbsp of course because it doesn't have the oil in it. So you mix it with water and wallllaaa you have peanut butter. I love peanut butter ...natural ...with honey ...from earth fare or places you have to grind it yourself. This peanut butter has a texture of the old, boring, hydrogenated oil peanut butter and so I'm not a big fan. I put it in the frig and it got harder and wasn't as bad. Is it worth it? I don't think so. I can't sacrifice texture and flavor for stupid calories and fat. Besides natural peanut is really good for you anyway :)

the beginning

I just thought I would create this blog because there are so many things I would like to share. Writing just feels good ...ya know? and since I am computer-oriented the idea of creating and coding a blog is also fun to me.

Currently I am living in Tallahassee, Florida ...10 hours away from the beautiful western north carolina mountains where I grew up :( However, I spend a good deal of the day at a computer now and what a better way to relax than to write ...this is where this little guy comes in ...enjoy :)
